Farrah Franklin, former member of Destiny's Child, was detained by police over the weekend in Culver City, California. The 29-year-old Single Black Female actress was booked by police for disorderly conduct. Media reports are citing sources close to the police that say that alcohol was involved. She was released on $100 bail later in the day.

Franklin told TMZ.com that her arrest was based on racial profiling.

"Unfortunately, I am the latest victim on what seems to be a growing list of those who are racially profiled and mistreated by Culver City Police. I was manhandled by the arresting officers."

She added: "I am really upset about all that has taken place. I have never had a run in with the law before Saturday. On Saturday I was not arrested, I was detained."

Franklin also threatened to sue the police, announcing on Twitter: "YES, I'm okay & YES there WILL be a lawsuit!"

Franklin spent five months in Destiny's Child before manager Matthew Knowles fired her for failing to appear at various performances and for lack of enthusiasm.
