Lannett Company Inc (LCI) Monday announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, or the FDA, of its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Hydrochlorothiazide Capsules, 12.5 mg.
The company stated that Hydrochlorothiazide Capsules, 12.5 mg, is therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug, Microzide Capsules, 12.5 mg, of Watson Pharmaceuticals.
The company added that Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated in the management of hypertension.
The company further stated that it intends to commence shipping of this drug shortly.
