Target Corp. (TGT) has entered into an agreement with Fairweather Ltd, International Clothiers Inc. and Les Ailes de la Mode Incorporées relating to naming and branding rights in Canada. Pursuant to the deal, Fairweather, International Clothiers and Les Ailes have agreed to stop use of the TARGET mark by January 31, 2013.
The company said this deal would eliminate any potential confusion among Canadian consumers regarding Target Corporation's branding elements, store experience and merchandise assortments as it opens its first stores in Canada in 2013.
