Casual apparel and accessories retailer The Buckle, Inc. (BKE) reported a 7.4% rise in its January comparable-store sales at stores which are open at for least a year. Net sales for the month were up 10.9% to $60.3 million from $54.4 million in the corresponding month last year.
For the fourth quarter, Kearney, Nebraska-based Buckle recorded an 8% increase in its same-store sales. Net sales for the period grew 11.2% to $337.1 million from $303.1 million last year.
BKE closed Wednesday's trading at $43.81.
