Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) Thursday said it would begin selling its first tablet for under $100, ZTE Optik starting February 5.
ZTE Optik is a 7-inch 3G tablet powered by Android Honeycomb. The tablet features a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage as well as dual cameras.
ZTE Optik will be available through Sprint direct ship sales channels, including Sprint Stores, Sprint Business Sales, Telesales and online for just $99.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement, the company said in the statement. ZTE Optik will cost $349.99 without a service agreement.
