Dow Corning Corp Reports Q4 Net Income Of $260 Mln Vs $251 Mln Last Year

Dow Corning Corp (GLW) Friday reported fourth quarter net income of $260 million, 3% higher than net income of $251 million reported for the corresponding quarter last year.

Adjusted net income for the quarter, excluding special items, however, declined 53% to $76.8 million from $164 million reported for the same period last year.

Sales for the fourth quarter declined 4% to $1.52 billion from $1.58 billion reported last year.

Senate Republicans appear poised to approve a budget resolution that will serve as the legislative vehicle for their tax reform plan. The non-binding budget resolution unlocks the reconciliation process, allowing Republicans to pass their tax reform plan with a simple 51-vote majority in the Senate.
