(RTTNews) - Heartland Payment Systems (HPY: News ) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.35 Thursday morning, up from $0.21 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.24.
Heartland Payment Systems gapped open higher Thursday and climbed during the first half hour of trade. The stock finished up by 2.39 at $27.11 on the highest volume of the year. Shares surged past resistance Thursday and set a new high for the year.
