Jennifer Hudson gave a crowd-pleasing performance at the AMFAR Gala.
The singer wore a detailed grey-toned dress by Roberto Cavalli for the event, where Cavalli (who attended with his wife and the model Elisa Sednaoui, face of his new fragrance) was honored with the Courage Award for his contribution to the fight against AIDS.
Theophilus London also performed at the black tie event kicking off the New York Fall 2012 Fashion Week, which was also attended by Janelle Monae (wearing a revealing tailored black suit), Cindy Crawford, Lindsay Lohan, Heidi Klum, Julianne Moore and Gloria Estefan (both of whom also donned Cavalli gowns for the event).
Hudson (who recently released a new book) has been requested to provide testimony in relation to the 2008 murder of her mother, brother and nephew by the attorney representing William Balfour, the man who killed her family members.
