Earnings Watch For February 14 (AVP, BOBE, MET, HST)

Direct-selling cosmetics company Avon Products, Inc. (AVP) is slated to report fourth-quarter results. It is expected that the company will earn $0.51 per share versus $0.59 per share last year, on revenues of $3.11 billion. The stock closed Monday at $17.53. (The stock declined about 10% in Q4; MA(50)- $17.57; MA(100)- $18.52; 52-wk H/L $31.60/$16.09)

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. (BOBE), owner of the namesake family-restaurant chain, is scheduled to report third-quarter results after the market closes. The company is expected to post earnings of $0.59 per share on revenues of $430.77 million. In the prior year, the company earned $0.51 per share on revenues of $428.59 million. BOBE closed Monday's trade at $36.56. (The stock gained nearly 19% in Q3; MA(50)- $34.37; MA(100)- $32.86; 52-wk H/L $37.85/$27.41)

Insurer MetLife, Inc. (MET) is expected to report quarterly results after the market closes. For the fourth quarter, the company is anticipated to record a profit of $1.24 per share, up from $1.14 per share in the year-ago quarter, with revenues estimated at $16.81 billion. The shares closed Monday's session at $37.68. (The stock rose almost 14% in Q4; MA(50)- $33.73; MA(100)- $32.45; 52-wk H/L $47.88/$25.61)

Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (HST) will post results for the fourth quarter before the market opens today. Earnings and revenue for the quarter are expected to be $0.31 per share and $1.65 billion respectively. Last year, the lodging real estate investment trust earned $0.26 per share on revenues of $1.49 billion. The stock closed Monday at $17.01. (The stock surged about 36% in Q4; MA(50)- $15.34; MA(100)- $14.04; 52-wk H/L $19.37/$9.78)

BorgWarner Inc. (BWA), Hospira Inc. (HSP), Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (GT), Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC), Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (WPI), FMC Technologies, Inc. (FTI), Curtiss-Wright Corp. (CW), Quest Software, Inc. (QSFT), Peet's Coffee & Tea, Inc. (PEET), Weight Watchers International Inc. (WTW) and Valmont Industries, Inc. (VMI) are also due to report their results today.
