Freightcar America gapped open sharply higher Friday and climbed during the first hour of trade. The stock was range-bound for the remainder of the day and closed up by 4.03 at $25.33 on the highest volume of the year. Freightcar America rose to a 6 1/2 month high and re-crossed both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
