Finland's inflation accelerated in January, reversing its declining trend in the previous five months, data from Statistics Finland showed Monday.
The consumer price index rose 3.2 percent annually in January, faster than the 2.9 percent rise in December. Month-on-month, prices advanced 0.6 percent.
The harmonized index of consumer prices that is meant for EU comparison purposes, increased 3 percent on a yearly basis, after rising 2.6 percent in December. The figure rose for the first time in six months. The index advanced 0.8 percent on a monthly basis, after remaining unchanged in December.
