Philippines balance of payment showed a surplus of $864 million in January, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said Monday. This was the highest figure in five months.
In December, the account showed a shortfall of $114 million, which took overall surplus to $10.18 billion in 2011. The central bank expects a surplus of $2.8 billion for this year.
