URS Corp. (URS) announced on Monday that it agreed to acquire Flint Energy Services for C$25.00 per share in cash, approximately C$1.25 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter and to be accretive to URS' 2012 GAAP earnings.
URS Corp. gapped open sharply higher Tuesday, but moved in a narrow range for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by 1.94 at $44.85 on above average volume. The stock rose above a 2 1/2 week range and set over a 7-month high.
