Australia Internet Vacancy Index Falls In January

Australia's internet vacancy index declined 0.6 percent from a month earlier in January, marking the ninth consecutive fall in the index in trend terms, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations said Wednesday.

Over the year, the index fell 8.5 percent. On a seasonally adjusted basis, vacancies increased 1.9 percent month-on-month but fell 4.9 percent over the year.

The skilled internet vacancy index increased 0.4 percent month-on-month in January. Annually, the index fell 6.9 percent.
