Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge (formerly, Kate Middleton) has announced the name of her family's new royal dog—Lupo. The black cocker spaniel's name was revealed while Kate was at the Rose Hill Primary School's art facility giving students a water color lesson.
One of the children handed her a stuffed puppy doll and asked the Duchess what she would name it.
"Why don't we call it after my dog?" she responded. "He's called Lupo."
Kate arrived at the school wearing a brown, dove patterned dress by Orla Kiely and was greeted by a throng of admiring children waving Union Jacks.
After the visit a pair of children presented Kate with gifts, which included an apron embroidered with the words "Miss Catherine," some dog treats for Lupo and a bouquet of roses.
