Vince Gill Exits MCA Records After 23 Years

Vince Gill has left MCA Records after more than two decades, announcing his departure during his appearance at the Country Radio Seminar show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday. Gill was a member of the label's roster for 23 years.

While there's no word which side made the move, Gill told the audience: "I'm just grateful for where I've been, and you've been a big part of where I've been and where I'm going. To my MCA family, it was really a sweet ride the last 23 years, and I appreciate everything you do."

Gill had been with MCA for the majority of his solo career after spending five years at RCA. During his time with MCA, he released ten studio albums all of which went to the Country Albums top five with 1998's The Key hitting number 1.
