Italian business sentiment deteriorated in February for the third month in a row, the statistical office Istat said Monday.
The corresponding index fell to 91.5 from 92.1 a month ago. The reading remained below the consensus forecast of 92. Assessments on order books worsened, while production expectations and inventories improved in February.
The assessments of order books came in at -36, down from -32 in January. Meanwhile, stocks of finished products rose to two from one point and production expectations dipped to zero from minus three.
The seasonally adjusted confidence index in construction rose to 82.5 in February from 82.4 in January.
