Canadian Dollar Strengthens Against Most Majors

The Canadian dollar strengthened against most of its major counterparts during New York mid-morning deals on Monday.

The loonie advanced against the US dollar and the euro in today's mid-morning trading from previous session's multi-day low of 1.0052 and multi-month low of 1.3484, respectively. At present, the loonie is trading near 0.9981 against the greenback and 1.3383 versus the euro.

The Canadian unit that dropped to a 6-day low of 79.92 versus the Japanese yen by about 9:15 am ET ticked up thereafter and currently trading near 80.71.
