"Spartacus: Vengeance" actress Lucy Lawless was amongst seven activists arrested in New Zealand earlier this week on an oil-drilling ship owned by Shell. Lawless and a six others from Greenpeace boarded the ship to prevent it from leaving port and were arrested after spending 77 hours on board.
"This chapter has ended, but the story of the battle to save the Arctic has just begun," Lawless said in a statement before being arrested. "Seven of us climbed up that drillship to stop Arctic drilling, but 133,000 of us came down."
The ship, called the Noble Discoverer, was moored at Port Taranaki, New Zealand. The seven stowaways have been charged with burglary for their activity on the 175-foot vessel and will appear in a district court in New Plymouth this week.
