Mary J. Blige was on hand to sing the national anthem prior to the start of the NBA's 2012 all-star game at Orlando's Amway Center.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul kicked off the event with her rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" on Sunday, February 26.
She was not, however, oblivious to the Oscar action that same night, tweeting her support for Octavia Spencer, who won the award for best supporting actress for her role in The Help:
"Had a great time at the game. Congrats to my girl Octavia on her Oscar win 2night."
Over the summer, Blige dropped the track "The Living Proof," as the lead single to the same film. Her latest album, My Life II . . . The Journey Continues (Act 1) is due November 21.
