The Australian currency extended its morning session's uptrend against most major currencies during New York afternoon deals on Monday. At 12:50 pm ET, the Aussie climbed to fresh multi-day highs of 1.0786 against the US dollar and 1.2436 versus the euro, compared to last week's closing values of 1.0701 and 1.2582, respectively.
Against the Canadian dollar, the Australian unit also edged up further and presently trading near a fresh multi-week high of 1.0768 from last Friday's North American session close of 1.0697.
