Callaway Golf Appoints Chip Brewer As CEO - Quick Facts

Callaway Golf Co. (ELY: Quote) announced the appointment of Chip Brewer as President and Chief Executive Officer or CEO of the Company, effective March 5, 2012. It is expected that Brewer will be appointed to the Board of Directors once he officially joins the Company.

Tony Thornley, who has served as interim President and Chief Executive Officer since June 2011, will resign from his interim positions on March 5, 2012, but will continue to serve on the Board of Directors, the company said.

Brewer has been with Adams Golf since 1998 and has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer since 2002.

The company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, also came in above analysts' expectations as did its quarterly sales.
