The Japanese yen gained against its major counterparts in early Asian trading on Tuesday. At 7:45 pm ET, the yen rose to 80.32 against the greenback, 89.39 against the franc, 107.67 against the euro, 127.15 against the pound, 80.48 against the loonie, 86.38 against the aussie and 67.45 against the kiwi.
