Muse have revealed a few new details about the sound of their forthcoming sixth studio album. In an update to Twitter the rockers explained that some tracks on the LP will feature a brass section as well as strings.
The British icons posted a photo from the studio in a tweet, noting:
"The amazing brass from last night. More horns today," and later adding: "Just done some more horns with some legendary players."
They later returned to Twitter noting that they would add to the orchestration:
"Now some strings. This album is coming along nicely. Bring on autumn."
The orchestral arrangements are coming compliments of composer David Campbell, who has written orchestral parts for songs by Metallica, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi and Evanescence. Campbell, who also happens to be the father of Beck, is best known for his job conducting the Melbourne Symphony, according to Gibson.com.
