Elton John is slated to perform at Carnegie Hall during an April 3 concert benefiting the Rainforest Fund, appearing alongside a whole host of surprise guests and performers.

The evening, sponsored by Revlon, will include performances by Sting, Vince Gill, James Taylor, Meryl Streep, Katharine McPhee, Bryn Terfel, Rosanne Cash, along with other surprise guests, and will feature live and silent auctions at the gala dinner following the concert.

The Rainforest Fund was founded in 1989 by Sting and Trudie Styler in response to a direct request for help from a Kayapo Indian leader in Brazil who was seeking to protect his people's land and culture. Over the past 23 years, the Rainforest Fund has worked in partnership with more than 100 local organizations in all major rainforest areas and successfully protected over 115,000 square kilometers of forest.
