Over 50,000 Michael Jackson music files have been stolen by computer hackers. Authorities have pinned the misdeed on two British men, James Marks, 26 from Daventry, Northamptonshire and James McCormick, 25, from Blackpool.
The pair appeared in a Leicester court and denied the charges of violating the Computer Misuse Act and the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act. A trial has been scheduled for January 2013.
A rep from Sony elaborated:
"We confirmed the breach last May and immediately took steps to secure the site and notify authorities. As a result, the two suspects were arrested. There was no consumer data involved in the incident."
Jackson's estate signed the biggest deal in history with Sony in 2010, giving the rights for Jacko's entire catalog to the company.
