Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Whitesnake will join forces to help amplifier manufacturer Marshall celebrate their 50th anniversary with a September 22 show at Wembley Arena in London.
Nicko McBrain, drummer for Maiden, explained the historical significance of the brand:
"This is truly a celebration of a British Icon - Marshall. Beyond doubt, Jim Marshall and the team have shaped the sound of rock music for eternity! Words cannot describe how pioneering Marshall is. I feel more than privileged to be involved in this event."
"This event is a celebration of the Marshall family and we are honored so many artists want to get involved," a rep for the amp-maker added.
The event, which is titled Marshall Amps—50 Years of Loud, will also include the Cult's Billy Duffy, Black Label Society, Mr. Big, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani and Chickenfoot.
