Trace Adkins went under the knife on Tuesday, February 28 in order to have a number of kidney stones broken up. The country star tweeted a picture of himself in a hospital gown along with the following message:
"@ Vanderbilt having kidney stones busted. No big deal."
"The doctor said that he got 8 stones and that the procedure went well," Trace added. "He seemed happy. The nurse said that everything else looked magnificent. She seemed absolutely giddy! Strange!"
Adkins also has an upcoming knee surgery to look forward to. He told Cowboys & Indians magazine it was all part of the ageing process:
"I've been pretty hard on my body over my life. It's catching up with me now, and I have to get stuff fixed. Every winter, I usually get something fixed."
