Queen are set to take Adam Lambert on the road this summer, but reports have surfaced warning fans not to expect "a Freddie Mercury show."

A rep for the Sonisphere festival, which the band is headlining, said that fans with such expectation may be disappointed:

"They aren't going to get [a Mercury show], but I think the Queen songs are huge, I think they fit perfectly with the Knebworth environment . . . I think it'll be one of the best performances we've seen from a headliner, it's the only show in the world they're doing. It's a huge coup for us."

He added that the remaining members of Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor, were into the idea from the start:

"They weren't hesitant at all. It was one of those calls that was at the right time. It was surprisingly straightforward."
