Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" has set a new record for most digital sales ever by a female artist. The track has sold a whopping 6.68 million downloads, making it the second most downloaded track of all time, behind the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling."
The new record comes as Adele is riding a wave of momentum following big wins at the Grammys and BRIT Awards. She posted an impressive week with 99,000 downloads of "Rolling In The Deep" sold for the week of February 29, pushing her past Lady Gaga's "Poker Face."
In addition to the new sales record, Adele has also made recent news with rumors that she may head into the studio with pop icon George Michael. A source close to the "Faith" singer revealed that they are friends and he's itching to work with Adele:
"George is working on his album for the first time since his life-threatening illness and he's in great shape. It is no secret that he adores Adele."
