Air France-KLM February Passenger Traffic Rises 6.2% - Quick Facts

Air France-KLM SA (AF.PA,AFRAF.PK) Wednesday posted a 6.2 percent rise in February passenger traffic, thanks to a 2.5 percent growth in capacity and a 2.8 percentage point improvement in load factor. Passenger volume went up 5 percent to 5.34 million, the company added.

The Americas registered a 13 percent climb in traffic and a 6.1 percentage point uptick in load factor. Traffic in Europe was up 4.9 percent despite the impact of strike actions. Load factor for the European network went up 2.4 percentage points.

Citigroup Inc. on Wednesday reported a 7 percent increase in profit for the fourth quarter from last year as lower revenues were more than offset by decreases in cost of credit as well as operating expenses.
