Lady Gaga is reportedly furious over plans for an upcoming Hollywood biopic of her life, according to reports by Life and Style magazine, which claims the singer is "cringing" at the prospect of having her life story played out on the big-screen in the forthcoming new flick Fame Monster: the Lady Gaga Story.

"She's furious, she's cringing at the thought of her life being exposed on television," a source told Life and Style. "Gaga doesn't want it getting out because it will portray her as insecure and needy. [She] wants to be seen as powerful and strong."

The rights for the film, which is said to have been written by Norman Snider, were originally obtained by US TV network Lifetime, but they are now reportedly being offered elsewhere.
