Kelly Clarkson has signed on as a cast member for the new ABC singing competition, Duets. In the program, Clarkson will trek across the country in search of two competitors who will serve as her singing partner.
Robin Thicke, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland have also signed on to the program.
Each week one of the celebrity members and their chosen competitor will perform a duet in front of a live studio audience.
In a statement, Clarkson says she is thrilled to help others achieve their dreams:
"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people I believe in, sing with them every week and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing I can't wait to be a part of."
Duets is set to premiere this summer.
