Delcath Systems Q4 Loss Narrows

Delcath Systems Inc. (DCTH: Quote) posted fourth-quarter net loss of $15.27 million or $0.32 per share, narrower than $15.31 million or $0.36 per share in the previous year quarter.

On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.28 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating loss for the quarter was $15.97 million, wider than $9.53 million in the comparable quarter last year.

After reporting a sharp drop in new orders for manufactured durable goods in the previous month, the Commerce Department released a report on Friday showing that durable goods orders rebounded by more than anticipated in the month of April. The report said durable goods orders surged up by 3.3 percent in April after tumbling by a revised 5.9 percent in March.
