Studio musician and Los Lobos member David Hidalgo has revealed that Bob Dylan is at work on a new album in a Los Angeles studio. Hidalgo worked on two previous Dylan efforts and says that his latest will feature Mexican stylings.
"It was a great experience. And different. Each one has been different, all completely different approaches. It's an amazing thing, how he keeps creativity. I don't see how he does it," Hidalgo told The Aspen Times.
He added that Dylan was intrigued with the array of Mexican instruments available in the studio:
"He'd say, 'Wow, what's that?' He liked the sound. So we'd get it in there."
"It was a great experience," he added.
The release date, for what would be Dylan's 35th studio album, has not yet been set.
