Lady Gaga has planned a media blackout following her appearance on Oprah's Next Chapter, a show in which she gave an extensive interview.
She dropped the news during her Oprah interview:
"Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time . . . No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about' . . . I shut it all off."
She added that, regarding media coverage of her: "I don't read a damn thing."
Oprah's interview with the Mother Monster and her mother is the latest in a string of high profile sit-downs on the OWN network. Recent guests include Reba McEntire and family members of the recently deceased Whitney Houston.
The interview is billed by OWN as a "two-hour event," which takes place on March 18 at 9 p.m. EST.
