Liam Gallagher has confirmed that Beady Eye will start playing Oasis covers this summer. The former Oasis singer has previously resisted playing his old band's songs saying "it wouldn't feel right."
During a recent interview with the UK's XFM, however, Liam revealed that the band will start covering Oasis beginning with its upcoming trip to Japan:
"We're doing Fuji Festival in Japan, which is in July. And we will be dropping Oasis songs for anyone who's bothered," he said in the interview.
"The time is right now, without a doubt," he continued. "We were always going to do it, but we thought the [Beady Eye] album needed to stand on its own. We've done some good gigs, we've done some sh*t gigs. And it's time to drop them in now."
