Usher is fighting his ex-wife Tameka's request that he pay her legal costs in their ongoing custody battle. Tameka is also currently fighting to obtain sole custody of their two children, 4-year-old Usher V and 3-year-old Naviyd.

According to various sources, Tameka requested that Usher cough up nearly $50,000 to pay her legal fees for the custody proceedings, which are taking place in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia.

Usher has denied the request, however, claiming he has already shelled out over $25,000 for her legal fees.

In an official statement, the singer's reps say that he will not pay any more fees incurred by his ex-wife and says her actions "directly harm the best interests of the minor children. Clearly, such actions should not be tolerated, much less rewarded."
