Bill Maher is the latest to rip Rush Limbaugh for his highly-controversial remarks about a Georgetown University student.
Maher, who has recently found hot water for remarks of his own about Sarah Palin, said comparison between the two is "ridiculous."
"He went after a civilian about very specific behavior, that was a lie, speaking for a party that has systematically gone after women's rights all year, on the public airwaves," Maher said in an interview with ABC News.
"I used a rude word about a public figure who gives as good as she gets, who's called people 'terrorist' and 'un-American.' Sarah Barracuda (Palin)."
Limbaugh last month ripped Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke for testifying on Capitol Hill about contraception coverage.
"What does it say about the college co-ed Susan Fluke [sic] who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex -- what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute," Limbaugh said.
"She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex."
The remarks have resulted in the loss of a number of advertising deals for "The Rush Limbaugh Show," despite the controversial talk show host's apologies.
