Avril Lavigne has cleared up the rumors surrounding her accepting a judge role on the U.S. version of the X Factor, according to People.
"I'm making a record. I want to make movies. No, it's not happening," said Lavigne. "It's flattering. It's a great show."
There have been several rumors of other artists joining the singing talent competition, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Britney Spears, Fergie and Janet Jackson are a few of the other singers that have been rumored to be joining the show. Whoever accepts the judging positions would be replacing former judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
Last year's season of the X Factor ended with Melanie Amaro winning the competition.
