Kings of Leon, Foster the People and Colbie Caillat have all participated in the Children's Cancer Association's efforts to help sick kids in hospitals.

The Children Cancer Association recently developed a program called MyMusicRx, which offers music therapy, hallway performances and free songs to children recovering at hospitals.

"Usually you'll be sitting in a hospital with some sort of medicine going into you with like a needle or something," Children's Cancer Association patient Hayley Bivins told KPTV. "So it involves like a distraction so you can have fun, but also be in a hospital, so it's not dragging on all day."

The musicians have not only donated their time to the hospitals, but they have also written hopeful messages and made up games for the kids to play.

MyMusicRx has teamed up with iTunes so that many of the songs from the sessions may be purchased with five cents from each download donated to help the cause.
