Poland's industrial production increased less than economists expected in February, data released by the Central Statistical Office showed Monday.
Industrial production increased 4.6 percent on an annual basis in February, markedly slower than the 8.8 percent growth economists expected.
Production in the manufacturing sector grew 5 percent year-on-year, while mining and quarrying production decreased 6.8 percent. There was a 4.8 percent annual growth in the output of electricity, gas, steam and hot water during the month.
Month-on-month, industrial output decreased 1 percent in February, while economists expected production to rise 3 percent.
In the two months ended February, industrial production advanced 6.9 percent from the corresponding period last year, data showed.
