Legendary ZZ Top guitarist Billy F Gibbons has released his own brand of hot sauces. The rocker showed off his new BFG Sauce line during South By Southwest by stepping in as a guest bartender at Austin's famed Lambert's restaurant.
Gibbons passed out Bloody Marys made with his BFG #44 Piquant sauce, which he described as a "blend of the finest peppers for a truly unique fire-inducing flavor." Guests in the house were also treated to beef brisket slathered with his "sweet, tangy, spicy, and smokey" BFG #44 BBQ Sauce.
The culinary excursion comes at a busy time for Gibbons, who is currently at work on the much anticipated new ZZ Top record with producer Rick Rubin. Gibbons explained the delayed album to ultimateclassicrock.com:
"[Rubin] likes to do things at his pace," adding: "It will sound like ZZ Top."
