Melanie Fiona released her album, The MF Life, today, Tuesday, March 20. The first single, "Gone and Never Coming Back" written by Fiona and J. Cole, was released early last year.
The LP is billed as a low key acoustic album, "showing a more sensitive and personal side of the Toronto native," according to singersroom.com.
The L.A. Times reviewed the album positively:
". . . few offer much in the way of great lyrics or real insight as they stick to themes of heartache, heartbreak and the occasional romantic triumph. Fiona's voice . . . is fantastic throughout . . ."
"This album is really more . . . creative to me . . . I pushed myself to try and do new things [and] I worked with people who I never would have thought I would have been able to work with," Fiona said of the new album in a recent radio interview.
