Williams Companies (WMB) announced after the bell Monday that it has agreed to acquire Caiman Energy's wholly owned subsidiary, Caiman Eastern Midstream LLC, for approximately $2.5 billion.
Williams Companies gapped open higher Tuesday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by 0.88 at $31.30. The stock climbed above a 2 1/2 week range and set over a 2 1/2 month high.
