Petition Filed To Have Zsa Zsa Gabor Removed From Husband's Care

Petition Filed To Have Zsa Zsa Gabor Removed From Husband's Care
3/21/2012 12:28 PM ET

Zsa Zsa Gabor's daughter has reportedly filed a petition to take her mother out of the care of her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt. According to a report from cnn.com, the case will be heard by the same judge that oversees Britney Spears conservatorship.

Gabor's daughter, Francesca Hilton, claims that Anhalt has become increasingly withdrawn in recent months and is under heavy sedation. Hilton's lawyer Kenneth Kossoff broke news of the petition, saying: "What Ms. Hilton is seeking here is for the court to make sure that Zsa Zsa's best interests are not being sacrificed for the selfish interests of anyone involved in Zsa Zsa's life."

Kossoff adds that Hilton raised a red flag after Anhalt took out a $700,000 loan against Zsa Zsa's Bel Air Mansion, which is rumored to be in foreclosure.

"In spite of her conflicts with von Anhalt, Francesca has been hoping he had Zsa Zsa's interests at heart," Kossoff said. "However, having just recently learned that he took out a $700,000 loan, and that there was a notice of default recorded against the property in late February 2012 because he apparently has not been paying Zsa Zsa's mortgage payment, it became clear to Francesca that if she did not seek to protect her mother, no one else would."
