Flaming Lips To Release Rare Collaborative Double Album On Record Store Day


The Flaming Lips have decided to release a limited edition double album of collaborations for 2012's Record Store Day, which is set for April 21.

For the special release, titled The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends, the band collaborated on tracks with Coldplay, Ke$ha, Bon Iver, Yoko Ono, Nick Cave, and My Morning Jacket.

The double multi-coloured vinyl set includes new recordings and songs that have been included on their recent EPs. Since this a limited pressing of the album, this will be the only time the band releases this "series of unique and experimental sessions," according to a press release.
