Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda has tapped Deftones singer Chino Moreno to be featured on a new song.
Shinoda's latest project is the score for upcoming film The Raid: Redemption, called "Razors Out," in which Moreno makes a cameo.
In writing the song for the soundtrack Shinoda said it was a relief not to have to come up with a story to put with the song:
"Yeah, that was fun to do. When you're making a song or an album, then you're telling your own story. It's hard. You start with a blank page, and you're like, 'What do I write about?' You've got to come up with everything. It's about you at the end of the day. The story is already there with the movie though. I've got this great platform to build on and support. Gareth [Evans] made an incredible film, and I was happy to play a supporting role."
The Raid: Redemption will be released in North American theaters on March 23.
