After warming up in Denver, the Tim Tebow show is headed to Broadway after the New York Jets announced Wednesday that they have agreed to in principle on a trade for the quarterback.
Tebow and the Denver Bronco's seventh-round draft pick will reportedly be headed to the Jets in exchange for a fourth and a sixth-round pick.
The news of the trade comes a day after the Broncos officially signed four-time MVP Peyton Manning, seemingly making Tebow expendable.
With the move, Tebow will join Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez, who recently received a three-year contract extension.
Initial reports suggest that the Jets are interested in using Tebow in their wildcat package, a favorite of new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano.
The Manning signing in Denver represented an improbable turn of events for Tebow, whose distinctive style of quarterbacking sparked the Broncos to a surprising 8-8 record -- good enough to win the AFC West.
Tebow-mania hit a fever pitch in the first round of the AFC playoffs, as the former University of Florida standout beat the defending conference champion Pittsburgh Steelers with a long pass in overtime.
