Win and Will Butler of Arcade Fire returned to their home state of Texas to deliver a lecture titled "Arcade Fire: Hope, Haiti & Service" at the University of Texas.
Band mates Regine Chassagne and Marika Anthony-Shaw joined the pair to talk about their relationship with the Haitian healthcare charity Partners in Health.
The group also performed two acoustic tracks at the school: "Haiti" and "Wake Up."
"In the [United] States and Canada, there's a basic attitude that you should be able to do things yourself," Win said. "You take for granted all the infrastructure we have. When you see a place that has no government or money for basic necessities, you know people shouldn't die from not being able to get a tetanus shot in 2012."
